Music Ministries
Sanctuary Choir—This singing choir is open to adults of all ages and high school students who are 16 years and older. No audition is required. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The rehearsals leading up to Christmas and special concerts generally last from 7:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The Christmas Eve Candlelight service is a highlight of each holiday season with its presentation of Lessons and Carols accompanied by strings or chamber orchestra. The Sanctuary Choir also presents a concert in the spring as well as seasonal services. The choir's main purpose is leading the church's song every Sunday in the 11:00 a.m. worship service.
Adult Handbell Choir—This choir is open to all adults who are committed to regular choir and worship attendance. Rehearsals are held every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. until 7:15 p.m. The Holiday Handbell Festival is presented by this choir the Sunday before Christmas and rings in worship at least once per month. Occasional anthem and hymn accompaniments are presented as needed.
Youth Handbell Choir—This choir is open to youth in sixth grade through high school seniors who participate in Sunday Evening Youth Fellowship. Rehearsals are held every Sunday afternoon from 4:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m. The Youth Ringers play in church every other month or more often as pieces are prepared.
Youth Choir—This choir is open to all Youth fifth grade through high school seniors who participate in Sunday Evening Youth Fellowship. Rehearsals are held each Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. This choir presents anthems in worship every 4-6 weeks, at the Christmas Eve Candlelight service and on Youth Sunday.
Fisher Kids Choir—This choir is open to all children grades Kindergarten through fourth grade and meets on Wednesday evenings at 5:15 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Rehearsals focus on proper singing techniques, learning about the church year through song and singing as a choir. This choir presents a Christmas musical at the Joy Gift dinner each December, sings at the Christmas Eve Candlelight service and in worship every 4-6 weeks.
Children's Chimes—This choir is open to all children third through fifth grade and meets from 5:15 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. every Wednesday. This is a preparatory class in learning to ring handbells and a fun class for all who participate!!
