Presbyterian Men
The Presbyterian Men meet in the fellowship hall at 8:30 AM on the first Sunday of the month. Each meeting includes breakfast and a program often is presented by either a regular attendee or by a guest from the community.
In addition to fellowship, the Presbyterian Men seek to serve Christ through service projects in the community and, also, through efforts to help maintain the church’s grounds. Participants in the Presbyterian Men have an ongoing project to prepare the church’s recreational site near the Cape Fear River for church-sponsored events held there.
In 2011, the Presbyterian Men helped a church family recover from the tornado that barreled through our area in April. Additionally, on special occasions throughout the year the men helped prepare breakfast at the church.
Currently, the Presbyterian Men are led by Mac McCaskill, president, and David Bradham, program chairman, and by a team of men who arrive early on the first Sunday to prepare breakfast for the men.
Frequently, sons will join their fathers for the Presbyterian Men breakfast, which serves, of course, as an important means of passing on to succeeding generations the great traditions that are a part of this special organization.
